A jilted lover killed a girl for her refusal to marry and later committed suicide in Ramgarh in Samba district late Sunday evening , according to police
Anil Kumar in his late twenties was in love with a young girl of his village Dugg Channi in Ramgarh near international border in Samba district , but the girl did not entertain his request to marry her. She was engaged to some one else. She and her family were opposed to the marriage proposal of Anil Kumar , the police said .
Angered by the refusal, Anil chopped the girl to death . The police identified the victim as Rimpy Kumari in her late teens .
After killing the girl, Anil Kumar killed himself with a sharp edged weapon.
The incident has sent shockwaves across the whole area. This is first of its kind incident in the rural belt of Samba district .
